Dear Parents/Guardians,
What an amazing two days we have had at Clinton Elementary! Our teachers, staff and administrators have enjoyed seeing both returning and new students learning, laughing, and building new friendships. We also greatly appreciate the support of our parents and families in helping keep drop-off and pick-up safe and orderly, as well as the presence of adults on the playground before and after school. Thank you for helping us start the year off safely and successfully!
Here are a few helpful reminders as we start off a successful year!
1.Set up a myDSD account if you haven't already. Please sign in - myDSD. Transportation is posted on here for those who live West of 2000 West.
2. Complete all forms in your To Do on myDSD. Please pay particular attention to the new House Bill 402, Device Protection Plan (replacement fees are significantly less with this plan), and photo opt in/out.
3. Visit our Nutrition page for menu selections and to apply for free/reduced meals Nutrition Services - Davis School District

5. Yearbooks are distributed in May, but you can prepurchase now by paying the fee posted in Optional Fees.

Week of August 24: Administration will present our District Safe School and Welcome and Belonging trainings to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
August 31: Preschool Orientation (See specific information from Preschool teachers)
September 1, 5:30-8:30p.m.: Classic Skate Night (Layton) - PTA is sponsoring this Free Family Event. Flyers will be sent home soon.
September 7: NO SCHOOL - Labor Day
September 8/9: First Day of Preschool
September 21-25: Green Ribbon Week - PTA sponsored
September 25: Safe Routes to School Assembly
September 23-24: Parent Teacher Conferences - Early Out Schedule
*SPIRIT WEAR FRIDAYS - Show your Cougar pride every Friday! Students are encouraged to wear Clinton shirts or our school colors—blue and yellow. Cougar T-shirts are also available for purchase through our PTA, and every purchase helps support our school. Go Cougars! 💙💛🐾

Testing: Over the next three weeks, students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will participate in our Beginning-of-Year Acadience Reading assessments. Additionally, students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will participate in Beginning-of-Year Acadience Math assessments. These assessments provide valuable information to help us identify student strengths and areas for growth as we begin the school year.
Please take a moment to review our monthly Drill Schedule. Drills will take place at varying times throughout the school day as we practice and reinforce important safety procedures. District and School Behavior Expectations: This week, I will meet with all students in Kindergarten through 6th grade for a welcome presentation. We will introduce our District Safe School and Welcome and Belonging trainings, as well as review our schoolwide expectations for a respectful, responsible, safe and successful year.
