✨Our students are diving into good books and bringing their creative projects to life. There’s nothing better than learning, exploring, and growing together! 📚

We hope everyone enjoyed the celebrations during Halloween last week. Here's a peek at some of our students' costumes, the walking field trip, and activities during parties.

In Ms. Bowser's 6th grade class, the students did an activity where they used their artistic skills to disguise ghosts using features of items around the room. Take a look at their creativity! #FindtheGhost #6thGrade

A big project that is in the works this year is our students are creating a giant mural of our 4 Houses 1 Family logo. Each month Mr. Hansen goes around to every class and students get to help add Lego pieces to the board from house points they've earned focused on the monthly challenge theme. Every 10 points earned toward the theme = 1 Lego pieces they get to add.
This is a huge project he has taken on and we appreciate all the time Mr. Hansen has devoted to this (and continues to do so) and how he interacts with the students.

We had our PTA Fun Run Fundraiser on Friday. It was a successful event that raised $8,877.00! Students and staff all had turns to go outside and walk/run laps to help raise money for our school.

Year 2 of our school being a part of HRS (High Reliability Schools). We were able to send more of our amazing staff to spend time at this conference learning powerful strategies to grow as educators and teammates! Our King staff are always working towards being better educators and improving our skills! Here are some of our teachers at the Davis R&R conference this week on a break between classes. #KingLions #ROAR

We received notice that King Elementary is designated as a model school for the 24-25 school year as a positive behavior intervention support school. This is the highest designation a school can receive! We are also 1 of only 2 schools in the district with a Tier 2 designation- which means we provide students with extra added supports. We are so proud of our staff for the support they give our King Lions to help them be successful and are pleased they’re being recognized for all their efforts. #KingLions

Our King Team is hard at work today in professional development to move us forward in supportive student and staff growth.

Two of our King Lions represented our school amazingly well at the District Dr Martin Luther King Speech Finals. We are so proud of them!

During their Humanities class, 1st graders made x-ray skeleton hands for art this week! #weloveart

Our school had some special visitors today! Superintendent Linford and a couple of school board members dropped by to see some of the things happening at King Elementary. They also came to give recognition to Andrea Anderson for being an outstanding DSD employee!

Every month, our wonderful principal Mrs. Johnson does a read-aloud with each class. Here she was today with some second-graders after reading 'The Power of One'.
