🍀St. Patty’s Day fun + math magic in Mrs. Elliott's classroom!🍀 We turned snack time into a hands-on learning adventure with Lucky Charms sorting & graphing! 🌈🥣 Students sorted their marshmallows, created graphs, and became little data detectives—answering questions like: 📊 Which group had the MOST? 📉 Which had the LEAST? ➕ What happens when we combine groups? Learning has never been this sweet (literally 😄)! So much engagement, critical thinking, and excitement all in one activity.

Ms. Bowser's 6th graders recently teamed up with Mrs. Wright's 1st graders for a Fun Friday combined art project. We love seeing creativity and partnership in action! #KingLions

Mrs. NeVille's kindergarteners have been practicing their tricky words. This time it was in the form of reading and writing the words by playing the headband game! #ActiveLearning #TeamKindergarten 📚✍️

Second grade in Miss Berrett's class has been busy learning and growing! 📚 Thanks to the generosity of some amazing donors, each student receives a book each month of the school year. Such a special gift that helps build a love of reading all year long. Miss Berrett is so grateful for her community that supports reading and makes this possible! ❤️ Students also participated in a fun counseling lesson where they played a game about using kind words and treating others with respect which are important skills for building a caring school community. To wrap up their learning in their recent CKLA Knowledge Domain, students worked together to create posters highlighting important figures from the Civil War era, including Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, and Clara Barton. We loved seeing their teamwork and creativity as they shared what they learned! Way to go, second grade! 👏

Our 4th graders recently went on an IMAX Theater field trip to learn about space and the Hubble Telescope. 🔭🪐

Ms. Merrill's 1st graders celebrated Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat day by wearing their favorite hats. 🧢

Here's a look into the happenings in Ms. Bowser's 6th grade classroom. Students created pottery projects during their BTS arts class with Mrs. Wood. 🏺 🎭They also acted out different Greek Myths as part of their CKLA unit they studied. We love seeing their creativity! #Team6thGrade

Mrs. Lower & Mrs. Price's 6th graders completed their last DARE lesson where they were able to try drunk goggles, Detective Lewis' SWAT vest, and be handcuffed. The last few weeks during this program students have been learning about the DARE decision making model and the effects of drugs and alcohol on their brains.

We wanted to take a moment and recognize the amazing TA's (teacher assistants) in Mrs. Elliott's ASC classroom: Amber Booher, Tina Larsen, and Rachel Jacobsen! Superintendent Dr. Dan Linford, school director Traci Robbins, and school board member Brigit Gerard stopped by for a visit today. They came to thank these outstanding ladies for all their support, effort, and dedication to the students in Mrs. Elliott's classroom, to Mrs. Elliott, and what they do for our school.

Hear ye, hear ye 👑✨ Calling all Kindergartners to the Royal Ball! Our young royals dressed in their finest crowns, gowns, and capes to celebrate the completion of their knowledge unit on kings and queens. From royal waves to majestic dances, it was a celebration fit for a kingdom! 🏰 We are so proud of our little kings and queens for all they’ve learned. 🏅 STEM Olympics Ski Jump Event – What a Week! 🏅 Our STEM Olympics are officially underway, and the competition is heating up! Across the school, classes and grades have been proudly representing 10 different countries as they compete in exciting STEM challenges. A recent event was the Ski Jump! ⛷️ Students used only a straw and their breath power to launch their ski jumpers as far as possible. Each teammate contributed their distance, and we combined the results to create a total score for their country. It was incredible to see the teamwork, strategy, and determination from every group! A huge congratulations to this week’s 🥇 Gold Medal Winners! We are so proud of all our student athletes and engineers. Their creativity, perseverance, and team spirit truly embody what STEM and the Olympics are all about. Our fabulous 5th graders took a trip to the symphony and let the music move them! 🎶 From powerful crescendos to the softest melodies, it was an unforgettable experience. We’re proud to support the arts and inspire a love for music in every note! 🎻🎼

Mrs. Campbell's third graders finished their CKLA Knowledge unit on Vikings. Here's a little look at an activity they completed at the end.

Better late than never... thanks to our amazing PTA for sponsoring Skate Night last month. We loved seeing all our students and their families enjoying their evening of fun, food, and friends! Many of our teachers even got in on the fun. 🛴🛼

During their humanities classes our 4th graders practiced dance movements to demonstrate geographical formations. And our kindergartners practiced some yoga poses. Incorporating movement through learning!

During PE class students got to put their teamwork skills to practice while creating cup-stacks and practicing speed drills. Learning through movement and using great hand-eye coordination techniques.

Black Bear Diner has been one of our big supporters this year! Each term they're donating a bike to a student whose name gets drawn out of all those with perfect attendance for the term. So 4 lucky students this year will receive a bike! Here is our 2nd term winner with their bike. We love all the support from our community helpers!

Ms. Ferris' 3rd graders have been utilizing our online support programs Lexia and I-Ready which are individualized to student needs. We love seeing learning progression through skill practice!
