Ms. Bowser’s 6th graders teamed up with Ms. Rosales’ kindergarteners for some buddy reading fun! Nothing better than watching our King Lions lift each other up, build friendships across grade levels, and share the joy of reading. 💛👑 That’s the pride of the pride right there! 🦁#KingLions #BuddyReading

🏰 Medieval Technology in STEM! ⚙️ In STEM this term, students are exploring how technology has changed throughout history. This week, we took a pit stop in the Middle Ages to learn how levers, pulleys, and castles were powerful forms of technology! 💥 Kinder & 1st Grade Students learned about the parts of a castle that make it strong, then built their own castles using blocks to see if they could withstand Mrs. Riley’s Styrofoam cannonball! ✏️ 2nd & 3rd Grade Students explored communication technology by writing silly messages with “quill and ink,” which were proudly read aloud by the town crier for the class to enjoy! 📜📣 🏹 Grades 4–6 Students learned about levers by designing and building catapults, launching tin-foil cannonballs to knock down towers like true medieval engineers! It was an exciting, hands-on week of creativity, problem-solving, and fun while exploring medieval technology! #STEM #STEMEducation #KingElementary #KingElementarySTEM #ElementarySTEM #HandsOnLearning #FutureEngineers #HistoryMeetsSTEM 🏰⚙️

100 days smarter and 100 days sweeter! 💯🎉Mrs. Elliott’s students had a blast celebrating the 100th Day of School with all things 100 — from building cup structures and counting activities to stickers, creativity, and so much more. The fun didn’t stop there… some students even dressed up as if they were 100 years old, and we loved every minute of it! 👵🧓💛 Here’s to 100 days of learning, laughter, and growing together! #TeamKindergarten #KingLions

From problem to solution to creation! 💡 Mrs. Morrell’s 4th graders completed their final Eureka! inventions by identifying real-world problems, shopping the “inventor store” for materials, and building their own creative solutions. We’re so impressed! #Team4thGrade #KingLions

Our school received level 1 certification last summer for HRS (High Reliability Schools) and we're working on being level 2 certified this year. Our HRS team just got back from a conference in San Antonio, Texas where they went to learn more strategies that apply towards level 2 certification. They brought back information to share with the rest of our staff to help us in implementation moving forward. #BuildingOurROAR #HRS #AlwaysLearning #AlwaysGrowing

The magic of reading is even better when shared! ✨ Recently, Mrs. Jenkins’ 1st graders visited Mrs. NeVille’s classroom to read to their Kindergarten pals. It was a special moment for everyone—the Kindergartners got a glimpse of where they’ll be in just a year, and our 1st graders got to see exactly how far they’ve come. The growth that happens between these two grades is truly incredible! 📚🌱

“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store… maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” 💚🎄 Last Thursday our amazing 2nd graders brought How the Grinch Stole Christmas to life through readers theater for their families in each classroom! They worked so hard practicing their reading, expression, and teamwork—and it truly showed. We’re so proud of their confidence, growth, and holiday spirit. What a joyful way to share the magic of reading! ✨#KingLions #Team2ndGrade
